Oceans Apart - Karen Kingsbury

Hello everyone, welcome back to by blog. How is the lock down going?

So today i will be reviewing a book that is very dear to me. It’s titled Oceans apart by Karen kingsbury.

This book is about love, hurt, denial, betrayal, forgiveness and second chances. This book explains how trust could be broken with one silly mistake.

One lesson I learned from this book is this;
Mistakes are bound to happen, no one is perfect, we are humans but then the question remains this, how do we handle these mistakes?
What would you do if someone you love and cherish broke you in the worst way possible?
Can love forgive?
Will forgiveness make the pain go away?
Will forgiveness make you forget?
Does the person deserve a second chance?
Are we always given second chances?

I can’t provide answers to these questions but if you have ever asked yourself any of these questions, then I strongly advice you read this book.

It answers all these and lots more.

The author of this book wrote a poem on butterflies and second chances and I am going to share it with you all.

I tell of hearts and souls and dances….
Butterflies and second chances;
Desperate ones and dreamer bound,
Seeking life from barren ground,
Who suffer on in earthly fate
The bitter pain of angry hate.
Might but they stop and hear forgive
Would break the bonds to breathe and live
And find that God in goodness brings
A chance for change, the hope of wings
To rest in Him, and self to die
And so become a butterfly.
-Karen Kingsbury

Finally, emotions are useful deceit and tactic to man. They can control you and lure you to do something you ordinarily would not do.
Yes, it’s crazy.
 Despite all these, I want you to remember that love is what happens when you forgive.

Quick confession; I cried while reading this book πŸ˜….

Anyways, that’s all for now, let me know what you guys think in the comment session.

See you soon πŸ’•.
