This is a story of four very different women who comes from different background but all have one person in common (Dele), he is the man that introduced them to the lives they are currently living.

These women are sex workers in Belgium and they believe that someday  they can make enough money to finally live the life of their dreams. Everything is fine until one of them is reported dead. This incident leads to a lot of unraveling and bringing each other into each others personal lives and would eventually lead to a friendship that neither of them thought they would have.

This book deals with fear, love, displacement, sexual abuse, rape, extortion, tribal based discrimination, poverty etc. All four women (Sisi, Ama, Efe and Joyce) have suffered and they are willing to do anything to have a better life.

It is written in the third person narrative. The voices of all four women are heard. It is written in simple English and a bit of pidgin which makes it easy to understand.

The world building is well done. It gives the readers a good visual representation of the locations mentioned in the book. The end is quite heartbreaking but it also fills our heart with hope.

I loved this book so much. I gave it five out of five stars. It was an excellent read and every single person needs to read it.
